Our jewelry is made of 304 stainless steel (our piercings), and gold plated 925 silver (our earrings), both of which are materials whose main property is to resist humidity.
All surgical steel piercings sold by Estrela meet the F138 standard established by ASTM International for stainless steel (called surgical). All of our piercings are grade 316L or 316LVM, to reduce the risk of infection and minimize customer reactions to jewelry. However, it sometimes happens that some people become intolerant to these materials; it will then be necessary to turn to other materials, such as: - titanium grade 23 TI6AL-4V-ELI which remains an affordable material but which may present a sign of allergy similar to surgical steel - ASTM-F136 titanium, in 14 and 18K gold, which is currently the safest allergy-free material but more expensive.

Even though our small jewels are water resistant, we recommend that they do not come in contact with perfume, chemicals or cosmetics so that they can keep their shine, color and shine.
If a jewel is blackened at the level of the clasp stem, vigorously rub your jewel with a dry and smooth fabric: your jewel will regain its color and shine!
Gold plated jewelry can tarnish and flake over time, so it needs to be taken care of on a daily basis. Get used to storing them neatly in the packaging provided when you are not wearing them.
